The Harrison County Chamber of Commerce accomplishes its extensive Business Plan through the following committees and the many volunteers who strive for success in the Chamber and the community.
BUSINESS EVENTS
Mission: Promote and support members businesses. This committee coordinates events, programs and networking opportunities including Administrative Professionals' Day, Business & Home Expo, Golf Outing, Wine & Jazz Dinner, Health Fair, and Annual Dinner along with various lunch discussions throughout the year. 2008 Co-Chairs Rosalyn Alonso and JoEllen Crowley
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Mission: Promote and support a positive business climate throughout Harrison County. Charged with the "Business Development" portion of the Chamber's overall mission, this committee is primarily focused on a cohesive county-wide collaborative effort to Economic Development. 2008 Chair Kim Haws
EDUCATION
Mission: Serve as a resource and support for education and raise student awareness of the opportunities in Harrison County. Youth Leadership, the High School Business Symposium, Partners in Education, and scholarship awarenss are many of this committee's projects. 2008 Chair Lynn Bennett
LEADERSHIP HARRISON
Mission: To develop a corps of informed, committed and qualified individuals capable of providing dynamic leadership for Harrison County. The Eleventh class of Leaderhsip Harrison will run from Sept. 2007 to May 2008. 2007-2008 Chair Pam Preston
LEGISLATIVE
Mission: To improve regional business climate in order to sustain and keep business and jobs. In addition to monitoring the legislative agenda, this committee recently formed the Harrison Chamber PAC. 2008 Chair Patty Pringle
MARKETING/MEDIA
Mission: Monitor and implement the marketing plan for the Chamber. 2008 Chair Larry Cottrill
MEMBERSHIP AMBASSADORS COUNCIL
Mission: Represent Chamber to Chamber members and community. The Ambassadors conduct retention visits with members, recruite and welcome new members, and attend ribbon cuttings. 2008 Chair Nancy Stinard and Vice Chair Melissa Alessio
